Holiness, Revival and Youth Ministry
This current student generation must discover for itself that experience of God and a living relationship with God are more important in our lives than knowledge about God. We know about God we have read about God but there comes a time when we have to allow God to move in our lives Revival in youth ministry isn’t an orchrastrated event with a lot of bells and whistles but a much-needed spiritual movement that would engage teens in the exploration of what it means to live the Good News in communion with Jesus. Question
Are you a questioner? Do you ask people questions? You should. I should too. You know information that I don’t know; I know information that you don’t know. But true relevance goes beyond playing guitar, wearing jeans with flip flops and growing a sweet goatee…of course your are a female youth leader then that would definitely not be relevant. Somewhere along the way we have lost the plot. Somewhere along the way relevance has been reduced to a materialistic value. If we trust that youth ministry is about relationships rather than programming and processes, then we can turn away from forms of ministry that … read more

Sometimes, the real authority lies with the parents, the long-term youth volunteers, paid staff and youth coordinators aren’t necessarily part of that mix. In the real world, leaders are recognized, not appointed. You have to learn how to weave influence without storming the main gates of a board, committee, session, or staff hierarchy. Student Leaders? Have you seen the students in my youth group? God … read more
