Seventy-two quizzers from 12 churches gathered at Houghton College July 23-26 for the 2010 National Wesleyan Bible Bowl Tournament. Teams came from Indiana, Maryland, Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Virginia to quiz over the books of I and II Corinthians.

This year, two $500 character scholarships were awarded for the first time. The purpose of these scholarships, according to National Director Jim Terwilliger, is to “recognize quizzers who are putting the Word of God into action in their everyday lives. Our ultimate goals are discipleship and changed lives, and we wanted to recognize those in which this is happening.” Quizzers were nominated by their coaches and then two were selected by the National Quiz Council. This year’s recipients were Katherine Miller, Bethany Wesleyan, and Sean Huncherick, Cypress Wesleyan.
